General Commission Agreement FAQ

This FAQ outlines the terms and conditions under which I, as an independent contractor, will provide services. Please review these terms carefully before commissioning any work.

1. What is your working schedule?

I work during the following hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 11 AM – 9 PM PDT

  • Friday and Saturday: 1 PM – 10 PM PDT

  • No business on Sundays.

Any requests or inquiries outside of these business hours will be addressed during the next available business day.

2. How is payment handled?

Typically, I require payment upon completion of the agreed-upon work. However, for certain projects, at my discretion, a deposit or even the entire payment upfront may be required, depending on the specifics and scope of the project. These terms will be communicated prior to starting any work.

In the event that the project is canceled, whether by myself or by the Employer, compensation is still required for the hours I have already spent on the project. If I cancel the project at my discretion, I typically will not charge for incomplete work, unless absolutely necessary due to significant time or resources already invested.

Failure to provide payment as agreed may result in a DMCA takedown notice for unpaid work or delivered content.

3. What happens if work is required outside of business hours?

If I am required to work after business hours, including for meetings, project planning, or specific feature discussions, the following overtime rates will apply:

  • $10 for every 20 minutes of overtime.

  • $30 per hour (with no more than 2 hours of overtime per day).

4. Can the project scope or features be changed during the process?

All project specifics must be clearly communicated before work begins. If changes are required after work has started, additional charges may be applied based on the scope of the requested changes.

5. What happens if you are unsatisfied with the work?

While I aim to deliver the best quality, I encourage clients to clearly outline their expectations before the work starts. Vague or unclear instructions may result in additional charges for revisions.

6. What tools or methods do you use to complete work?

As an independent contractor, I am responsible for providing my own tools, equipment, and methods to complete the work. However, certain assets, for example such as high-quality user interfaces, animations, building assets, etc. must be provided by the Employer.

As a programmer, I can create rough drafts or concepts, but do not expect high-quality final assets from me. If such high-quality assets are needed, it is the responsibility of the Employer to provide them.

By commissioning my services, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact me during my business hours for assistance.
